Personalized Valentine's Day Candy

I don't want to alarm you, but did you realize that Valentine's Day is in a few short weeks? **pause for gasps of horror** Of course I'll provide you with all the recipes you need to make awesome Valentine's candy once it gets closer to the date, but if you are planning on buying a candy gift for that special someone, now is the time to start shopping.

Lately the candy world has seen an increase in customization options for popular commercial chocolate brands. Anyone can buy a bag of Hershey's Kisses at the nearest grocery store, but it shows special foresight if said Kisses are personalized. Here are a few common candy brands that now offer personalized gifts:

  • Dove Chocolate: If your sweetie is a fan of Dove milk or dark chocolate squares, you can order the candies with a personal message hidden on the inside of the wrapper. (A bonus if you want your secret message to stay secret!) Dove also offers a number of pretty packaging options.
  • My M&Ms: Not only can you choose two different personalized messages to be printed on your M&Ms, but you can also specify the color or color combinations you want in your candy assortment and the final packaging. I just wish they let you choose the type of M&M, since I greatly prefer peanut or dark chocolate to the standard 'plain' variety.
  • Hershey's Kisses: I dream of a day when Hershey's will make it possible to order kisses with custom messages printed on each individual flag. (Mine would read "Property of Elizabeth ONLY." Sharing is not my strong suit). Unfortunately, their options right now are limited to customizing a single flag in any given order of Kisses. However, some of their offerings, like a giant personalized Kiss filled with smaller kisses, are creative and fun for the Kiss-lover in your life.

If you know of other customized chocolate options, leave a comment and I'll add it to the list!

Beware… all items you have to order in bulk. There’s no single order options.

Horribly over price, I know you can’t put price on love… but seriously 20 bucks a bag.
