I love the combination of peanuts and chocolate, so I have always wanted to like Butterfingers bars. But I hate candies that stick in my teeth, and I have never met a Butterfingers bar that doesn't stay in my molars for a good two hours after eating it. This recipe for Nutterfingers Candy Bars has all of the good Butterfingers elements--strong peanut taste, a filling that shatters into light, crispy layers upon biting into it, a thick layer of dark chocolate coating--and none of the stickiness that I dislike. My recipe makes ten 4-inch bars, but I might cut them into small squares next time, to make a more "snackable" candy. But maybe I shouldn't...I had a hard enough time refraining from eating all of the Nutterfingers bars the first time around!
