Double Berry Truffles
Wednesday July 1, 2009
Double Berry Truffles are a little different from traditional truffles. They do contain white chocolate, but they also have cookie crumbs and cream cheese in the filling, in addition to berry preserves (and a hefty shot of food coloring). The slightly tangy berries are a great compliment to the sweet white chocolate, and the dried strawberries on top add a satisfying crunch. Their red, white and blue color scheme makes them a great fit for the 4th of July, and they are guaranteed to help everyone get in the spirit: after eating one, your previously red tongue will be a vibrant, patriotic shade of blue!
