Haystack Fireworks

In my eagerness to create new and better themed candies, I sometimes stretch things a little bit. While I was thinking about what candies to make for the upcoming 4th of July holiday, of course I thought of the usual red, white and blue suspects. But I also came up with Haystack Fireworks, a candy that requires a generous squint of the eye to join the July 4th candy club. Although they are easy to make, REALLY tasty, and a sure kid-pleaser, cynical relatives might give you the raised eyebrow when you introduce them. To which I suggest you say: "No fireworks for you, then!"
