Sweet and Salty Pecan Drops

We candylovers know that a large part of candy's appeal is its high sugar content. However, the best candies balance out the sweetness with other flavors for a more complex taste. These Sweet and Salty Pecan Drops are similar to some praline recipes, but they are dusted with a good dose of salt. It may sound counterintuitive, but the contrast between the caramelized sugar, toasted nuts, and individual grains of salts enhances the sweetness of these small candies and makes them hard to resist.
