Snowmen Candies

Poppy the Snowman, was a very happy soul.
With two pretzel arms, and a jelly nose, and two eyes made out of...raisins...

Okay, so my songwriting skills need work. But I think we can all agree that this adorable little guy is worthy of being immortalized in song. This Popcorn Snowman is made of sweet and chewy popcorn balls, decorated with candy and accessories of your choosing. This is a great kid's craft, and the resulting snowman makes a fun party decoration or table centerpiece.

If you're looking for the quickest snowman bang for your buck, then you might prefer these Marshmallow Snowmen instead. Purchased marshmallows are glued together with chocolate and then decorated with frosting and candy for a fun, kid-friendly holiday treat.

About.com Cookie Exchange

For the final recipe in our food channel cookie exchange, we turn to Marian Blazes, our Guide to South American Food. She recommends Alfajores, made with almond paste. The cookies are buttery and rich with almond flavor, but not too sweet, which sets off the caramel dulce de leche filling perfectly. Alfajores are a good cookie to send in the mail, as they taste even better several days after they are made. I hope you've enjoyed the cookie exchange the past few weeks, and that you've gotten some good ideas for your own holiday baking.
