Christmas may be over, but I still have that warm Christmas glow...and the Christmas desserts as well! Over the next few days I'll share some recipes for getting rid of your remaining Christmas foods. First up is eggnog. In the course of developing eggnog candy recipes, I learned that I did not actually hate eggnog. I thought I hated eggnog, but what I really hated was the texture. (Too thick and creamy...blerg). When I used eggnog as an ingredient, I found that I quite liked the spiced nutmeg flavor...which is good, considering I then had a lot of eggnog-flavored candies in my kitchen! If you're an eggnog lover (or even an eggnog hater like I was), you'll enjoy these eggnog-based candies:
Eggnog Truffle Cups feature a rich eggnog-flavored truffle cream in a semi-sweet chocolate cup.
Eggnog Fudge is a traditional fudge made with eggnog instead of cream, for a subtle dose of holiday cheer.

One year at my mother’s we had far too much Egg Nog (error in sending too many people shopping) so we made Bread Pudding with egg nog instead of milk and omitted the sugar. Worked really well, especially with a rum sauce.
