Baby, You're A Firework

We all know that a fireworks display can be dazzling and awe-inspiring, so if you're planning on watching a fireworks show on Independence Day, you might want some equally amazing treats to go along with the sights. These Exploding Truffles will inspire your own "oohs" and "aahs" this Fourth of July weekend. A note about the name--these aren't some junior high prank, and it's not quite accurate to say that they explode. Rather, they're full of popping candy (think Pop Rocks) that burst on your tongue when you bite into them. The contrast between the cool, smooth chocolate and the fruity "pop!" of the candy is incredible. These truffles are fun to eat, but I think it's even more fun to serve them to unsuspecting friends--they won't know what hit them! Exploding Truffles are a real blast, and they're the perfect way to end your Fourth of July with a bang.
