Turns out the answer is yes! This Chocolate Nut Brittle has a double dose of chocolate flavor, from cocoa powder inside the brittle and a healthy drizzle of semi-sweet on top. The chocolate taste isn't overwhelming, but it adds a nice richness and slightly dark flavor to a candy that can otherwise seem a bit too sweet. You can use any nut of your choice in this brittle--I like it with hazelnuts (to mimic the taste of Nutella!) but it's also excellent with cashews, almonds, peanuts, or any other nut-like substance else you might want to add.
