Like their namesake, these Lava Cake Truffles have a soft, melting chocolate interior. I've filled a normal chocolate cake ball with an extra-soft truffle, so when they're served at room temperature, the truffle is soft and supple. It doesn't quite flow like lava, but it is a wonderful taste and textural contrast to the cake. The whole package is dipped in chocolate, to make them the perfect portable, pop-able dessert, no pricey restaurant meal required!
