I had a lot of fun making these brownie-based Love Pops
, or as I like to call them in my head, looooooove
pops. It all started when I realized I didn't have cutters in the shapes I wanted, so I spent some time squishing brownie goo between my hands, and creating tulip petals and pouty lips with a paring knife. Then, after they were dipped, I took several moments to consider each one with a cocked eyebrow and a hand to my chin, as if to say, "And how shall I decorate you,
little love pop?"
The end result of these efforts was a bouquet of brownie pops that were beautiful, original, and so fun to share with friends. I think the flower versions would be so cute given as gifts in a small vase, or you could treat the heart shapes as conversation hearts and write messages on each one. You can also make your own shapes, or form your pops into letters and write someone's name, or a sweet message like "Be Mine."
