Champagne Truffles

Happy last day of 2013! Let's ring in the new year in style, with a plate (or glass?) of these Champagne Truffles!

These white chocolate truffles have a delicate champagne flavor, making them perfect for romantic or celebratory occasions, like...oh, what's that day coming up soon?...right, New Year's Day! The champagne flavor is light, so don't break the bank buying the most expensive champagne to use in this recipe. Rather, use a simple champagne that you enjoy drinking, and save your extra pennies for buying a nice champagne to drink.

If you want to really wow people with these truffles, decorate them with edible gold leaf. (Yes, it's real gold, and yes, you can eat it!) It can be a little tricky to handle, so I have a tutorial showing how to use edible gold leaf. Happy New Year!
