How to Make Caramels

Assemble Your Ingredients

These soft caramels have a creamy, chewy texture that melts in your mouth and never sticks to your teeth. For an easily printable reference page, please see the Soft Caramels recipe.

To begin, assemble your ingredients. You will need:

  • 2 cups heavy cream
  • 1/2 cup condensed milk
  • 2 cups light corn syrup
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 2 cups granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup (1 stick) softened butter, cut into small cubes
You will also need a 9x9 pan, lined with aluminum foil and sprayed with nonstick cooking spray.
