Halloween treat bags take a trip to the graveyard with these spooky tombstone designs! All you need are a few supplies and your creativity to make these creepy tombstone treat bags. Also check out Pumpkin Halloween treat bags for another great candy bag idea.
Difficulty: Easy
Time Required: 30 minutes

Here's How:

  1. Use a pencil to draw an outline of a tombstone design on top of the black bags. It can be as simple as drawing a triangle to give the bags a peaked top, or it can be a more ornate rounded design. The picture at right can give you ideas of what the top of your tombstones might look like.
  2. Use scissors to cut the tops of the bags into the designs you drew.
  3. Paint words or phrases on the bags using the paintbrush and the white paint. Possible suggestions are "Rest In Peace," "R.I.P.," "Dearly Departed" or inscribe the bags with names of friends or family. An alternative is to use small letter stamps to stamp the messages on the bags. Allow the paint to dry fully.
  4. Fill the bags with candy, leaving room at the top so they can be sealed.
  5. Glue the tops of the bags together with strong craft glue or use double-sided tape to seal them. Your tombstone treat bags are now finished!
