Choose Candy Buffet Decorations
The focus of a Halloween candy buffet should be the candy, but that doesn't mean the decorations can be ignored. Since most of your time and money will probably go toward buying and creating delicious Halloween candies, keep the decorations inexpensive and simple. Check local craft stores for fun, cheap Halloween decorations to scatter around your table. If you're employing more of an autumn theme, consider using small pumpkins or gourds, sprays of wheat, or flowers in fall colors to decorate your Halloween candy buffet.

For my buffet, I covered the table with an orange tablecloth, and scattered decorative Halloween confetti around to give it movement and prevent it from looking boring and flat. I also planted a few fake spiders between the candies to increase the "spooky" factor. To add interest to the wall behind the table, I twisted strands of crepe paper from floor to ceiling, to bring a dash of color and style. All of these elements were found at a local 99-cent store, and the savings on the decorations allowed me to splurge a little more on the important part: the candy!
