Oreo Rocky Road is a twist on a familiar favorite. Oreo cookies are added to chocolate, marshmallows, and nuts in this quick and easy candy recipe. You can experiment with different types of chocolate and nuts, and try adding dried fruits to customize the taste of this Oreo Rocky Road. This recipe yields approximately 16 servings.

Ingredients:

  • 7 ounces Oreos (18 regular-sized cookies)
  • 1 cup miniature marshmallows
  • 3/4 cup toasted nuts, coarsely chopped
  • 1.5 cups semi-sweet chocolate chips

Preparation:

1. Prepare a baking sheet by lining it with aluminum foil or waxed paper.

2. Place the chocolate chips in a large microwave-safe bowl and microwave in 30-second increments until melted, stirring after every 30 seconds to prevent overheating. Once melted, stir until the chocolate is smooth and set aside.

3. Coarsely chop the cookies. Add the cookies, marshmallows, and chopped nuts to the melted chocolate and stir until they are evenly coated.

4. Pour the mixture out onto the prepared baking sheet and spread it into a thin layer. Refrigerate to set the Oreo Rocky Road for 30 minutes.

5. Once the chocolate has set, break the candy into small pieces by hand. Store Oreo Rocky Road in an airtight container in the refrigerator or at cool room temperature for up to a week.
