This creamy white fudge is dotted with striking glimmers of candied cherries. But the best part is that it's easy to make with only five ingredients and takes only 30 minutes to make. If you're a white chocolate lover, then you'll enjoy this fudge, as it's full of this delectable creamy chocolate. The hardest part will be waiting for this fudge to harden before cutting it into squares.

Perfect to serve as a treat for a holiday celebration or family gathering. You can also use these for handmade edible gifts during the holidays. Just wrap them up individually, and put in a mason jar or gift bag.

Ingredients

  • Cooking spray

  • 1 1/2 pounds white chocolate

  • 1 (14-ounce) can condensed milk

  • 1 cup coarsely chopped candied cherries

  • 1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract

  • 1/8 teaspoon salt

Steps to Make It

  1. Gather the ingredients.

  2. Prepare an 8 x 8-inch cake pan by lining it with aluminum foil and spraying the foil with cooking spray.

  3. Combine the chocolate and condensed milk in a heavy saucepan over medium heat. Stir until smooth and combined, and remove from heat.

  4. Add the cherries, vanilla, and salt, and stir until well combined. Pour into the prepared pan and smooth the top with a spatula.

  5. Allow the fudge to set at room temperature (2 to 3 hours) before cutting into 1-inch squares.

Tips

  • Make sure the fudge has hardened before cutting it.
  • To serve, cut into 1-inch squares. You will get approximately 64 pieces.

Recipe Variation

  • You can leave the cherries out if you so desire.
  • Change it up and exchange the cherries to go with whatever the holiday or festivity may be. Use mint chocolate chips for St. Patricks day, pieces of dried orange for Halloween or Thanksgiving or some colorful M&Ms for a birthday celebration. The possibilities are endless!
  • Add some chopped walnuts or pecans to the fudge mixture.

How to Store and Freeze

Store your fudge in an airtight container with a sheet of wax paper between each layer to prevent the pieces from sticking together.

  • Room Temperature: Fudge can be stored at room temperature for up to two weeks.
  • Refrigerator: If you store your fudge in the fridge—some people prefer it cold rather than at room temp—it will keep for up to four weeks.
  • Freezer: For later use, freeze your fudge, making sure it is double wrapped—first in plastic wrap and then in aluminum foil—where it will keep for several months. Before serving, let it thaw out at room temperature.
